I'm fairly familiar with the entertainment industry and for qdots to really be a player in a very sophisticated area like displays - will take time. Any new technology takes a decade or longer to mature to the point where it can compete with those technologies that have had 2 or 3 decades worth of enhancements. Take the ones that got us to where we're at, tube displays held their own for almost a decade after Plasma was introduced and Panasonic is still putting out Plasma's that will kick any other technology out there, LCD/LED/OLED are all making substantial progress but---It takes time.
I think we'll see solar, maybe lighting, maybe bio-med, water purification as fields that we can enter quickly and with the right partners, make an impact. But when you speak of visual displays - unless you know something that I don't, it will take time.
