At a minimum, additional processing of the clay is necessary for the nano applications.

The KDS was brought in to micronize and dry the clay. It is not clear how it performs for the nano applications - i.e. does it destroy the most valuable properties of the clay?

I do not see this as a fault of the KDS (if it does not work for the nano applications), but simply a change in direction by the company to maximize the value of the clay. KDS processing is probably fine for processing the clay for fine china applications. But if ALMI management sees much greater value in the nano applications and the KDS does not work for that (I do not know this), well perhaps another KDS sale to ALMI is not in the cards.

sambeaux: FASC should have made "mention" in all PR's a requirement of the KDS sale to ALMI!
