I would Like to add to this, Myself as a former Marine now working here in Afghanistan as a Civ. Contractor, I recieve NO special treatment in the States for supporting the War Effort even though I work for the Dept. of Defense. We are taxed as though we work in the US unlike 3 years ago we were not, Obama did this and Congress helped. We live alongside Active Military, eat the same, shower the same and sleep the same, and are subjected to the same dangers as everyone, but get no days off, 12 hour days for months on end and yet get taxed and get no job benefits everyone else in America is entitled to such as overtime and unemployment or protection under Fed. Work Laws. Active Military can fly home for free on RR, we pay upwards of $2000+ roundtrip. ANyway enough crying, just saying WE should all be treated better while serving our Country, And I don't fly Delta!

as a soldier currently in Afghanistan this really infuriates me I know Delta has a contract with the department of defense to allow soldiers on active duty with orders to carry their bags on free of charge or at least I thought so

not for anything but when i was in the military we only needed 2 bags to travel when leaving a site. what is in all the bags? weapons travel with the soldiers? not when i was in. we were issued on base and returned on base before deployment
