jdaasoc....

Ah - now it makes more sense. Actual discounts on car amounted to around $5400, including enhanced "A" plan money. I knew there had to be more to the story.

Thanks, and enjoy the car.

jd-- some info for those that do not recv an employee discount. Members of various orgs have partnerships with veh mfgs. I belong to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). They have a partnership with Ford (DELL & others too). The discount is not as good as Class A (employee) and is called the "X PLAN". All Ford Company products are involved. Ford & Merc have the X PLAN price right on the invoice. The price is no haggle & under invoice price. Aust Mart, Jag, & Land Rov do not have invoices and discounts are not large on those vehicles. Admin costs are not permitted either. All incentives avail to the general public also are avail to X PLAN purchases. Whoops-- I can purchase only 2 vehicles per calendar year, my wife became an auxil member so the 3rd was purchased (she can purchase 2 per yr also). The only restriction is the purchaser my keep them titled in their name for at least 6 months.
Members of DAV should check their benefits pkg for family drug plan, travel discounts, ISP, and a ton of other things.

Car Talk

I got $1,750 in bonus earnings on my GM card, how can I apply this amount on my new purchase? Do I tell dealer about this before we agree on the final price? Is the $1750 deducted from the final purchase price or what? TIA.
