Actually I've been in stocks that weren't restricted when dividends came into play. I'm quite familiar that it happens :) Looks like you're the wrong one here.

Posting that your experience is the only thing that could take place is ludicrus. I for one have had dividends many times on both pennies and reglar stocks, with no restrictions. I also had a 6 month restriction on another stock, however, it was PRed as a restricted dividend. You are misguided to believe all dividends are resticted.
