Back to investing ....
Two of my good friends for years have been hollering "Ron Paul's the Man!" - one put just about everything he had in gold at $600; the other "tested the waters" at $900 and purchased $50K of Golden Eagle Coins (he loves to hold them in his hands .. it brings out the greed in him) ... obviously they have both done well; while I've LITERALLY got $50K sitting IN A BANK ACCOUNT do to my fear of pulling any trigger in any direction any more!!!!
On a personal note; my first life was that of a Registered Music Therapist (conservatory trained with a psych degree).. created a position in the med center I'm employed in now; so yes I've had a colorful life from song writing and lyric interpretation with psych patients; using music to stimulate post open heart patients; music and meditation in the ICU; music therapy students bringin comfort and fun into pediatrics with electric pianos and rhythm instruments etc; to being peter-principled to "director of psyche services" ("after all, he's so good at what he does, let's promote him to a Director, supervising 24 RNs, etc") .. well, the contract nurses went to their union; I was a duck out of water and failed miserably; and fortunately got back on track when the "high tech low touch" cancer center opened 20+ years ago; ..
Not sure about the "cool dude" comment - it's always interesting to know/sense how other's see us, vs our inner voices and how we see ourselves - I'm FILLED with "shoulds" and regrets; and work constantly at being mindful to appreciate and live in this moment; when my mind gets me off track "why haven't you taken your irish wife to Ireland you dumb ass" etc .. it's easy for me to beat myself up; others see me as confident/fun whle I tend to put others on a pedestal ... whew... are you guys going to send me a bill for reading this blather?????
