hidey, your underlying premise might need a little polishing. The underlying premise begins and ends with the first word from your post:

"historically"

Excuse me but "historically" goes away with Disclosure. Real investors will have direct access to every bit of information needed to analyze true stock value at any level of sophistication they choose. I know you know that. Come on, buddy, historical financial logic streams including shorting behavior have zero to do with Disclosure. What Disclosure accomplishes is to introduce a low priced, high value, long term investment to legitimate investors:

(1) Multiple revenue streams

(2) Sensible float

(3) Solid, committed management

(4) Plum industry

(5) etc, etc
