For the server market, do you mean this set of metrics ? :

1. Low Power consumption
2. Scalability
3. Value for money
4. True AMD64 compatibility and performance ( as MSFT likes to use )

For the Consumer market, you may be right !
...but then again, AMD has been VERY innovative in this area IMO !

- first to seamless X86 64-bit
- first with Hypertransport
- Alchecmy AU1200 - good move for processing Home-Media
- Geode for really low power X86 gadgets or even PCs

WBMW, You guys are still focused on a limited set of performance benchmarks, but I think the market is going to follow a different set of metrics going forward.

What metrics might those be?

Arm twisting?

Special convoluted benchmark schemes?

Intel products will have to be more like AMD's in more ways than AMD's will have to be like Intel's. IMO
