Cripes all Bostonians know that Revere was a drunk and barely finished his ride. William Dawes was the real hero as Revere never even made it to Concord. Revere was capture that night on his ride.

His great claim to fame was his name as it rhymed better in Longfellow's poem than Dawes.

Also did you know Revere had 8 children and his wife died and four months later married a young woman who bore him 8 more.
