I have to disagree here with not updating the website

From my perspective, if I am a potential investor, who does not read messageboards, I go to the companies website for new and exciting information

For example, the Marvel news is great and huge. This was an official PR from the company.

Why is it not on their website???

I don't think this is a picky point, it says something, .
Most good companies do not have long lags to update their website of good official information. It does not make any sense to do so.

There are probably legal, and/or marketing reasons why the site hasn't been updated.

Also, there probably aren't "Final" products to sell as a result of the "license" agreements they have PR'd about. KEWPIE, MR Bubbles, Marvel, etc.

The products will come, the website will be updated at the proper time, right?

lots of companies have long lags before news is posted to their site.

I don't like it, but it happens all the time.
