Ledion Veshi - 22.03.2011 Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha declared Monday during a conference on renewable energy held in Tirana that Albania has the potential of becoming a mini-super power in the region regarding the energy sector while pointing out that investing in renewable energy remains a priority for the Albanian government, Top Channel reports.
According to the Premier, Albania has a huge potential on wind as well as solar energy, being one of Europe’s sunniest countries. Berisha added that his government is committed to adopt one of the best legal frameworks for this purpose, while he invited banks to consider the financing of projects in the field.
