Exactly. I'd be much more interested in a report that shows the ratio of sells to buys for insiders who aren't given free shares. When free options are part of their salary, we can't really blame them for selling and not buying. Back when I was in the working world, many of us thought our company stock was undervalued, but we all got stock options and as a result we were never even considering buying and always considering selling, usually merely based on predicting the short-term move of the stock balanced with our personal needs.

All in all, I give more weight when insiders buy then when sell for this reason - selling can be for all sorts of reasons while still being bullish while buying sends a very clear and direct message. Of course the problem with OTC:BBs is sometimes insiders buy as a pump message.

cliff, I'm sure there is a lot of truth to what you are saying. When I saw that article, I wondered if some exec's of smaller companies aren't getting stock in lieu of cash for their salary. If so, they have to sell the stock to live on. Nonetheless, the market looks very weak here.
