Brit actually once a Depo is taken unless the judge seals them they are public record. Anyone can buy a certified copy. I used to work for a company who supplied the court reporters for depos and managed the production of the transcripts. The court reporter owns the transcript. She can sell copies to anyone unless judge seals them. They make a lot of money selling certified copies. It very common after a depo people mostly the lawyers buy copies. Its not cheap avg price nationwide is 1.50 and up per page to buy a certified copy. The key being only a certified copy can be used on court. That is they cost so much. Court reporter certifies the copies they sell.
