Dew - Oncolytic virus
To my knowledge there are 3-4 virus companies and ONCY is one of the most advanced, public companies that has done a ton of animal studies and studied various delivery methods - tweaked their manufacturing to ensure the product works. They have Sigma Aldrich doing manufacturing - 100L gets about 100,000 doses (very efficient), NCI has done 3-4 studies with 2-3 others on the way. Ten years of virus work will come unravelled in the next 6 months - they have a oral presentation at a big lung cancer meeting in July where i think they will have 2 lung trial results issued (guessing) and then later on the first part of phase III issued in head and neck by Christmas. They had excellent results in lung, head & neck, prostate etc to date and especially in metastatic cancers.
I like the increased institution buying, i like their explanation for the tweaking they have done to delivery, manufacturing etc, i like the totality of results to date, i like their patent estate and the lung results should take the edge while investors wait for phase iii data.
I guess i am the eternal sucker for feel good stories so maybe the likes of Oakes can make money on my back.
