i dont think it means he "cashed in" on stock which is to say i dont think he got paid 600Kish in cash. I think it means he was offered stock as compensation for the personal expenditures he has made in the company's name.

if this is the case that would be a good thing because it means he thinks he will eventually be able to cash that stock in at some point.

just my opinion.
