Hey Stan, re MDF..... Relax. It will come back. It might take some time but I have confidence in mgmt. That's why I bought some back today. I sold yesterday with the idea that I would buy back lower. Trading shares, I guess.

I'm not the bad guy here. You need to chill. I have held those shares for a long time and I can buy or sell whenever I want.....and frankly your opinion of me doesn't enter into my daily thoughts.

It takes traders and holders and sellers to make a market. For every buyer there is a seller. I would like to always buy low and sell high but doesn't always work.

Yes, I do this full time. This is my job. I like it.

stanu78: MDF

Navalier's recommendation to 'buy' MDF was partly behind the rally ahead of the earnings report. That was a great short term selling opportunity. He has a good reputation, but it wasn't helped by his poorly timed recommendation. I think the tax reporting and the HMO startup costs caught investors by surprise. Their tax accounting is standard and did not surprise me.

You made a good call in predicting a selloff after the earnings, but I'm therefore surprised that you didn't lock in any profits at higher levels. Short term trading forces are a powerful factor in stock prices, and have to be considered even by long term investors if they are seeking to maximize returns. I consider myself a long term investor, with many holdings over a year old, and some many years old, but I also make short term trades even on long term positions to take advantage of the volatility.

OT Re Stan MDF

I sold my 5500 shares of MDF as well before earnings. I have bought and sold MANY times since I first picked up 500 bucks worth of mdpa under .20 Don't be so quick to bash traders. I'm 21 years old and trading is currently my ONLY income to pay for school and mortgage (and free meals from parents' help) So all traders aren't greedy millionaires trading $100k at lows and highs. I think traders can CREATE shareholder value for longs just as easily as they take it away. Nobody complains during huge unjustified runs up, but everybody is complaining when a stock gets raped like MDF yesterday and today. . .IMHO
