Gold is money. Gold is the only true money. All fiat currencies race to their intrinsic value of zero. Check it out - try to find a fiat currency that lasted long enough to grow a four-foot douglas fir - they don't exist. An ounce of gold will still be worth an ounce of gold tomorrow, and in an hundred years it will be worth precisely one ounce of gold. You can't say that of many things, and you can't say it of any fiat concoctions from any backrooms anywhere. Plus, you can't diddle with the genes of gold! -

I dunno. Why would anybody waste time on something so trivial ? Don't you think they'll try to use those little bugs on something important like HIV, ebola, cancer, heck maybe the common cold.... etc. etc...

Seems we could be disease free in 10 to 20 years.
Maybe forget the miners and get some far LEAP puts on major drug companies...

Not a gold bug but long junior miners, and NG and other stuff.. Just in case ;o), but heck if I see the biotech train building up steam like the gold and NG trains are now I'll certainly change my itinerary.

On another post, I agree most dot coms were just fanciful dot bombs, and basically irrelevant in the grand scheme but the Net, that is different. The Net is on a par with the industrial revolution...
