It is not "inside info" and that is a very dangerous accusation. All you have to do is call the transfer agent. and you can get that "inside info". It is common sense to anyone who does this for a living that you can't buy a company for no money. So common sense says they gave restricted shares as that is what they can give as they are not a reporting company.
