Could he have meant that he was paid in 2 payments, not 2 shipments? He does not say "the first SHIPMENT or the second SHIPMENT"

The payment for the second shipment maybe the ore still at the mine. I cannot remember what it is called, but sometimes miners get payed for the ore sitting at the mine. That maybe what he was thinking you ment.The problem is you dont make as much per ton doing it that way.

That may explain the misunderstanding.
