Thanks for the post Patch. Even though Apex is not mentioned, the post does imply the urgency to boost oil flow from the Arctic.
I'm not sure why, but for some reason the powers to be have put the brakes on new oil from the Beaufort Sea/Mackenzie Valley area.
Maybe the Feds want the Keystone Pipeline / Syncrude Tar Sands expansion to come on line first, then all the gas in the Mackenzie Valley
and the Beaufort Sea will be required to feed the Tar Sands. Still more gas will still be needed when Canada eliminates coal as a source for it's existing power generating plants.
All is not lost though for the existing Trans Alaska Pipeline, as Alaska has a play on the west side of Alaska, in the Cook Inlet.
It seems to be under the radar of the Feds, and is in full throttle as we speak (see the post below).
Eventually we'll find out what's going on.
