es1: I disagree. The short position in SRSR is huge. Watching those who are short forced to buy back the non existant shares they have sold to longs for years will be both satisfying and profitable.
Shorts will not be getting any of my shares back on the cheap On behalf of the thousands of shareholders that have been hurt by the nakedshorters criminal behavior I refuse to make the covering easy. Stand tall SRSR shareholders for we have what they need.
Go SRSR!!!

I agree. Except for maybe a few uninformed hedge funds out there, I don't think the short interest is enough to make a significant difference. Hopefully, the new rules will offer some transparency, but yes, there are always loopholes. Not sure if this is part of the new rules that go into effect today, but I don't think I like it for a stock like SRSR...

When trading at 3 cents, SRSR only has to go up 0.003 to hit 10%, and be halted for 5 minutes. Seems that this is a perfect "loophole" for shorts to cover at a better price for them, or for an MM to further manipulate the stock by flooding the ask and/or bid with lower prices during that 5 minute window. Think about this in terms of percentages when SRSR finally gets some massive upward volume on good news. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have to think about it a little more.

Well said. When SRSR runs again, it will be because of developments with the properties, not because of a short squeeze. Fortunately for all of us, I believe those developments should be coming soon!

1. Also the MM already got word that the spin off is coming if they were short they have covered already.

2. There are loopholes in the rules just big enough to squeeze a MM through along with his naked shorts.

LOL!!!

Which is it ?

If there are loopholes, show us the loopholes ?

I've seen more than a few instances in which significantly large short positions were forced out of the trade by a reorganization event, but I have NEVER seen them forced out of a trade by an "announcement" of a pending event like that. Rather, I'd expect you'll only see that trade occur on the day that trading is suspended in order to execute the event, and, you will see it occur only if the reorganization events are done in a way to forestall the use of any "loopholes"...
