Stockhocker.....there were several articles referencing STP wanting higher signature bonuses....all posted AFTER Joe Shea made entry in his blogger stating in part on 4-15-05:
"Today's news suggests that President Fradique Menezes of Sao Tome and Principe is barring the door to the award of any blocks at less than the highest bid."
The stock took a dive of 25% on the day Shea made the entry suggesting strongly to this writer that those in the know (and the issue hasn't disappeared) sold on this date. Many thought the 25% decline was the result of an institutional holder selling......but I don't buy that reasoning. Institutions know how to sell and not drop the sp by 25%....as this directly affects them.
My point is that Joe Shea made this reference prior to any of the after talk. Just as he was the first to come up with the article over the weekend. RB pretty much said it was BS and that the article the Blog referenced did not exist. Wrong again.....it surely did exist.
No leaps made to make the conclusion I made IMHO....and probably 99 out of 100 reasonable persons would make the same conclusion. B-4 was being argued between the countries...with STP wanting APC due to the higher signature bonus. As I mentioned earlier there were many articles referencing this AFTER the Blog made its report.
