Yes, Radio IO is run on an open source platform called Ice Cast. They have no proprietary technology. No company will want to merge with them for their platform, as any company can get it for FREE. This platform is also not secure, which means anyone can just change the URL and get the "pay" stations.
Now, I have no reason not to believe that Randy M is coming to Radio IO. This information has been out there for months. Nothing new. The fact that the stock is not trading higher on heavy volume shows that investors are worried about the cost to get him here. The word is dilution and once announced prepare for your shares to head down! It is not a secret he is coming. There is a reason the stock is not going up!
How many weeks has Bubba worked a full 4 day, 2 hour work week since coming to Radio IO? Even he can see that less than 2,000 people are listening to his exclusive show at any one time. The numbers don't lie! Bubba can leave and nobody will know because nobody is listening. It makes sense he takes vacations now because he has such a tiny number of listeners. He thought people would follow him here. Only a handful of people did. He thought he would have an effect on Sirius subscriptions. He did not. Sirius increased their listeners since Bubba left. This is an epic fail for Bubba and Radio IO.
