Identity will be Zigbee -

what software it uses now is unknown, but it doesn't have the mesh networking capability that is required to poll all the cars on the lot. With mesh networking, a response from the distant cars is hopped to the central location. Don't see Identity ever being anything but Zigbee.

But what else they doing. I don't know, but I bet they have a small army of programmers keeping current on all the competing versions of UWB (two versions) and 802.11n (two versions). There may on winner of UWB, or without a 75% vote of the committee, the competitors could go their separate ways. This would be bad for the industry, two standards. Same for 802.11n. Or 802.11n may eclipes UWB (unlikely in my opinion). So Airbee need to be ready to go no matter what happens. They can't wait for a decision and then start working. I'm sure they are working on software now for ever possible approach. Likely they are already providing prototype software for testing by the alliances.
