Actually the figure is that for each ton of material they process, they will get about 100 lbs of black sand. So it all depends on how much material they can process in a day.

But that is not realistic either.......1st, the dredges would not run at full speed for an hour at a time...........so that's unrealistic........2nd, the overburden gravels have to be lifted up before the black sands are revealed and allowed to be processed............this will slow that # way down....to a more realistic #..........dredges will have to work from downstream.....to an upstream movement, so as not to re-work their own tailings.........

You are correct, especially #2, which could have 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d.
