Agree wholeheartedly KJAX,

This is an American victory.

And it will be at least a week until we again hear the progressivist wisdom of civilian trials for terrorists, and closing Guantanamo Bay, etc.

Let's be clear. Read the news. The President ordered troop operations into Pakistan while Bush refused to do so. This policy has been very clear in the Obama Adminastration. He delivered what he campaigned on about this war. To kill Bin Laden.
Bush gave up on Bin Laden, after one year. Said that he was not important anymore. It is clearly on tape, on more than one occasion.
In fact Bush practically gave up on Afghanistan, and took victory away; having pulled 90% of the troops out of Afghanistan.
President Obama was also leading, and involved in the Military operation and strategy, and gave the signal when to order the attack. He picked the date and time when to do the attack. This operation was in the works for months, on his order. He is the Commander-in-Chief. And he ultimately gave the final order when to attack. You sound either ungrateful or ill-informed.
Had something gone wrong, you may have even been one of the 1st to criticize him.
No matter how you or Rush spin it..President Obama is a world leader that is well respected.
Don't worry, after the grief stage comes denial, and afterwards comes acceptance. Don't let it get to you.
By the way, the ID of the soldier is unknown that fired the lethal bullet, and shall be. And it was the Republicans that fought against the new GI BILL, and voted for deep cuts to the VA.
So they can give even bigger tax cuts to billionaires, while asking the middle class to sacrifice more.
Sorry you seem to live in the land of make believe news.
You should be praising the President, like most people in the world and at home that understand what real Presidential leadership is.
Was a great day, wasn't it????

Yeah, Obama just happened to be the Commander-in-Chief by accident, and it wasn't a victory for him. LOL..he was just an innocent bystander..
And the soldier that killed Bin Laden, was called into the President's office the week before, and President Obama said "Sorry man, i can't pay you any money at all, but can you do me a favor, I want you to kill Bin Laden"
Sure it's an American Victory. Thank God we have competancy. legitamitcy, and decency in the White House again.
All you have to say is "Thank God for President Obama , there to protect us"
Shouldn't be too hard, just change the last word from Bush to Obama.
The way Bush protected us on 9/11. Oh that's right, Bush didn't fail, it was the American people that failed, according to your logic.
Just acknowledge the fact..President Obama kicked some ass. I know it hurts to admit it.

By that logic, Obama did not kill Bin Laden and Bin Laden did not kill the thousands of Americans on 9/11. But Bin Laden did give the orders, masterminded the plan. Obama gave the orders and from all accounts I've read, was quite the decision maker thru the process. Obama should address his progressive base and admit something - though he campaigned on closing gitmo, when in office he realized the leads gitmo was producing and should acknowledge he changed his mind and continued the Bush gitmo policy with good reason. I'm not a fan, but I think Rush Limbaugh of all people said it best yesterday:

"Ladies and gentlemen, we need to open the program today by congratulating President Obama," Limbaugh said. "President Obama has done something extremely effective and when he does, this needs to be pointed out. President Obama has continued the Bush policies of keeping a military presence in the Middle East. He did not scrub the mission to get Bin Laden. In fact, it may be that President Obama single-handedly came up with the technique in order to pull this off."

"You see the military wanted to go in there and bomb. They always do. They wanted to go in there and drop missiles and launch bombs. A number of totally destructive techniques here. But President Obama, perhaps the only qualified member in the room to deal with this, insisted on the Special Forces. No one else thought of that. President Obama. Not a single intelligence adviser, not a single national security adviser, not a single military adviser came up with the idea of using SEAL Team 6 or any Special Forces," Limbaugh said, with what some are saying is a slight tinge of sarcasm in his delivery.

"Our military wanted to go in there and just scorch the earth," Limbaugh continued, "but President Obama single-handedly understood what was at stake here. He alone understood the need to get DNA to prove the death ... it was President Obama single-handedly and alone who came up with the strategy that brought about the effective assassination of Osama bin Laden," the radio host said, concluding, "Thank God for President Obama."
