Of course, part of me says with the stock down where it is, why not wait for some hopeful positive news to get the stock moving and then do this type of financing.

I have come to the camp that unless one is damn certain there is a price driver in the near/mid future, it is just better to do the financing and take ones lumps.

The problem is that if the stock goes drifting as you wait, the "short the financing" crowd will pile in.
