yes, he was the leader pounder on TNFerade sugar pill, and was also the lead pounder on some other now defunct company which he said had a much better probability of success than Provenge, and had DNDN as a strong sell, and the now bankrupt company as a strong buy.

i do remember the argus research call as being around the time fmr was buying 10 million shares. its ashame the SEC are a bunch of morons. i agree with your assessment of that one.

to be honest, i dont care what most sellside analysts think if theyre doing banking or want to do banking with the company under coverage. theyre all bonafide morons including corey kasimov at jpm. the only ones i pay any attention to are small independent up and comer firms, like a summer street type of firm or, what leerink used to have before they started relying on banking.

honestly, i think at this point, ariad needs fresh blood....ie, new coverage from a new firm or two or three. the story is probably pretty old right now to barclays and jpm and opco clients ...meaning, their clients have already heard the story and bought the story and are "all in". if berger is goin to raise money, he should do it with GSCO, inasmuch as they are the biggest crooks on the street, the have the most powerful salesforce and clients to pitch it to.

Re: Pantginis

This guy is either a complete fool, or else just spits out any BS he needs to make his real customers happy.

He was hyping INGN when everybody knew it had deteriorated into a semi scam (it previously had a real candidate in Advexan, but when that failed they tried to pretend otherwise with some BS subset that made no sense, and he supported them).
