My mistake was driving up to town for a couple of hours. Silver's rebound convinced me that things had stabilized. Nope.
I did make a bit of money on the open. I bought ZSL pre-market as a hedge. I sold it quickly and took my profit when I saw silver was going to rebound. Then ZSL sold way off only to make a big comeback into the close.
Volatile times.
The (probably faked) Bin Laden death didn't magically bring into the existence a few trillion ounces of silver. The debt is still there and growing. The money printing hasn't stopped. (I think there will have to be a QE3) and the Dow didn't crash. Rates weren't raised. CME margin rates were again--but I haven't verified that for myself yet.
