IB does let you short.......and even lists what's available:

In this case looks like they've shorted every share they could since none are available.....or maybe IB said screw this....you ain't gonna short this one.

Bottom Line is that sykes and crew have any number of ways/firms to short with.......even market makers..... CHDN is one of them......z
