Need serious, realtime DD on Scanbuy, with wireless heavy-weight, deep-pocket partners like Ericsson, Nokia, Symbian, and Vodaphone.
http://www.scanbuy.com/index.htm

- Their Stengths & Weaknesses?
- Performance/abilities of corporate managers and advisors?
- Details of partnerships?
- Appears to be private - Plans for going public or buyout?
- Capabilities/quality of products?
- Stronger or weaker patents than NEOM?
- Financial info (won't be easy)?
- Where they shop? Who cuts their hair?

Need to know our adversary better than he knows himself.

Bigs, I am a newbie of several weeks to this board and have tried
to read as many back posts as possible. Using a search engine I like (www.beaucoup.com) and by typing in 'scanbuy suit neom', I got many references to the suits original descriptions from early
2004. NEOM is sueing Scanbuy for patent infringement and Scanbuy is sueing Neom for Copyright violation of software used in reading barcodes. It would be nice if posters from New York who know of, or follow this suit, could enlighten the board further as to developments regarding this suit. I have been unable to find newer information.

Scanbuy is or was a Nokia Forum Pro member.

I believe that means they pay a lot of money for expect technical, and promotional opportunities. It means they pay to step up to the plate. They still have to swing at the ball. I will guess that the Fortune Magazine “article” is part of what they are paying for. It’s funny; I get solicited all the time by publications that are willing to run an article about one of my products. There is usually a catch. I have to pay for it. In other cases, a good PR company can get your company profiled by publications starved for good content.

Here’s the rub. While Scanbuy is getting sued by NeoMedia, and Oracle, (isn’t that right) and trying to stay in the race, NeoMedia has been here before the market and the technology was ready. NeoMedia has successfully defended its patents and has developed go-to-market partnerships with companies that include, SAIC, Intel, FCB, and countless others. All these companies are quietly and patiently helping NeoMedia build its infrastructure necessary to go to market. You only need to review NeoMedia PRs to see what’s coming. At this point, it doesn’t look like NeoMedia has any competition.

So, buy a few shares and enjoy the show.
