Read the Treowth Blog regularly. Good stuff. But, you won't find any nipple-twisting stories here : )

Saw your comment about low institutional ownership of Rambus. It is up from the mid teens to over 25% in the past year ; surprising given the legal uncertainties.

Imagine the big institutions are waiting for both a patent infringement court win and the FTC to let go of its stranglehold on Rambus before jumping in with serious money driving institutional ownership up over 50% (as a contrast, institutions own 95% of Micron last time I looked). With just 100MM shares outstanding, there will be a feeding frenzy at some point in the future.

In the meantime, the mainstream Street will ignore the stock in the hopes of shaking the confidence of long-term retail owners while some low-life marginal players employ a few bashers to ridicule longs on the Yahoo Board in a campaign to shake out shares at the current attractive price. Because there is no retail demand, most shares sold are bought by institutions in small lots under the radar. So, my expectation is institutional ownership will grow slowly larger each successive quarter.

Just my opinion.
