It's always been that way. The only reason we notice it now is because it is flagrant. In reality we are watching the endgame before consolidation of currencies and establishment of an all controlling world banking reserve.
Look at the "Roaring Twenties" and you will see remarkable similarities to today. Essentially they are inducing a collapse that will allow them to rush in to save us.
It's moronic... assinine.. down right evil. But from their perspective its a completely predictable and cyclical system that can be controlled and known. From our perspective it's a great system in that most of us are just too stupid to realize we are controlled, as well as realizing we are only objecting to it now during the initial collapse phase.. We loved the shit out of it during the 90's. On the whole people don't care what system they live under.. They just want the illusion of hope... Something to look forward to. Currently there is less unrealistic hope than a decade or two ago which is exactly the reason the system we live under is under fire.

Just give it a decade or two and the morons will be thrilled as the cycle swings to growth again. There will be no complaining about the evils of our system during the next growth phase.

I don't like the system because it is controlled.. It reduces the ability of the species to grow. I also understand I am a 1%er and the system is probably exactly what the mindless masses want and need. Point blank, they are just too stupid to know better.

Nothing will ever change, short of an asteroid strike. And I don't care if it does. I simply resolve to understand our position in the cycle and react accordingly.. Playing the system if you will.

NEW YORK (AFP) – US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner vowed Tuesday that the United States would never follow a strategy to weaken the US dollar.

"Our policy has been and will always be, as long as I will be in office, that a strong dollar is in the interest of the country," Geithner said at a New York conference organized by the Council of Foreign Relations.

"We will never embrace a strategy to weaken the dollar."

It was the first time this year that Geithner had publicly proclaimed a US strong-dollar policy, a mantra of treasury secretaries for more than a decade.

In the year to date, the dollar has lost 6.5 percent of its value compared with a basket of currencies held by its major trade partners.
