The language I used is a "figure of speech". I crafted my response to you in such a manner because your words (as I usually fine them to be) were IMO vague. You said:
"I guess some things just never change or do they?Hmmmmmmmm."
How vague is that? What things never change? Typically people who post in a vague manner are looking to elicit (as in provoke) a response, hence my use of the term.
"I'm getting the impression that maybe you're under too much stress to assume such a ludicrous statement"
How does one "assume" a statement, especially one's own, let alone a ludicrous one? "Assume" is a verb. I could take something upon myself, like in "assume responsibility, or like take something over, as in "assume control", or take for granted like "assumed the market would rise, but I don't understand the usage in your statement.
