I actually believe that he left everything wide open as far as the future goes. I believe less than before that he is sure that the merger will occur. He also seems to be leaning more towards bailing than before. JMO, it is how it read to me.

What I found strange about that comment, is that, to me, it comes across that if someone had posted that the previous companies and proposed mergers had failed, without the proof, he WOULD have refuted it, even though it was the truth. Strange.

I was willing to believe that the merger would happen, but not that it would be a money maker, either right off...or for long into the future. (Who knows what the stock will do, I'm talking about the company) But, I have more doubts now than ever.
