Here's a link to the claim that a shipment of phones supposedly came in and but had repairable "glitches." I don't see that they were sent back to China, but who knows whatever happened to them, assuming the claim was truthful.

I asked Val about the phone situation and I learned that they did have a shipment of the phones come in and there were a couple of “glitches”. Apparently the antenna was not properly installed to meet specs and there was some issue with the software not working as expected. Val commented, “it’s like if you ordered a bunch of new cars and they all arrived but there was a problem with the headlight.” He went on, “the entire car doesn’t need to be rebuilt but the headlights on all of the cars need to be fixed.” I think he was trying to say that the problems are not overly significant and can/will be fixed but right now it is not a “perfect” phone and therefore they will not release them until they are.

The Wireless Service is in place Now. All they need is the Phones to make it operable. Also, the Mesh service that they are installing will make Mesh Global operating by Thanksgiving.
