Actually Sativex IS basically 2 whole cannabis plants - a sativa, high in THC, and another kind, high in CBD.

The whole flower of both plants is mashed in alcohol to remove dozens of cannabinoids and terpenes which end up in a spray bottle that is about 50/50 alcohol and whole ganja oil with peppermint flavouring.

The reason they list the THC/CBD content is because THC does the business, CBD does the business but also allows the manufacturer to claim it would not cause a bad THC reaction in the estimated 1 in 8000 males and 1 in 20,000 females who might get such a reaction from a plant that was high (>15%) in THC and low (<0.1%) in CBD.

Other chemicals in Sativex also have both curative and palliative properties but these are neither pharmacologically or politically necessary to list on the ingredients.

If you want better than Ricks and GWP's, just get the whole raw flower, chew it real good until it's completely liquified in your mouth and let it slide down and do the business. Oil is good for putting on the skin or the penis instead of Viagra but for internal work you can just eat the damn thing.

All that packaging is 'adding value' for the market, in order to recoup research costs. Have you seen how much £ has gone into developing that stuff?
