MDSI Executes Exclusive Marketing Agreement with Radix Marine April 3, 2011
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL Nearly nineteen months after executing a Letter of Intent with Radix Marine, Inc. that set forth the possibility of a teaming agreement between Maritime Defense Systems International, LLC and Radix Marine, Inc. MDSI has completed an exhaustive campaign of market research and product comparison with all other possible boats for the MDSI maritime security program. MDSI has concluded that the Radix Challenger GB-12 is the best of all of the candidates for the job. Maritime Defense Systems International, LLC is proud to announce that they have executed an Exclusive Marketing Agreement with Radix Marine.
The parameters that were used in the comparisons included: Speed, maneuverability, operational range, survivability, payload, operational depth, number of crew/passengers, time on station and the ability to quickly change-out the nine mission modules including MDSI’sGun/FLIR module and the Side-Scanning Sonar Module.
All of the above parameters are extremely important for the MDSI program. The MDSI program encompasses many aspects of maritime security. Among those aspects are piracy, narco-trafficking/terrorism, port security, oil platform security and Small Vessel Threat Assessment. The GB-12 is superior to all others for all of these requirements.
MDSI is already in discussions with five countries, for a total of 34 GB-12 vessels, who have expressed interest in, not only the GB-12 but also in the full security package. MDSI looks forward to the first contract to provide the full Port Security program which will include the GB-12.
Both MDSI President, Mike Gruber, and Chief Operating Officer, Tim Sheridan, are enthusiastic about the future of the program. Even countries with limited resources, whose maritime security has an impact on US National Security, have the support of the US Navy IPO (International Programs Office). This is like a Foreign Military Sales program wherein the US Gov. pays for the equipment. The GB-12 is on a roll.
