Several years ago a good friend of mine started Pixar. His name was Alvy Rae Smith. After their first couple of small films, which showed proof of concept. He tried to sell the company to Disney for $10,000,000. He said he "begged" them, insisting that the proof of concept was in front of them, and that going forward they could make anything imaginable as an animation. (if my memory of the details is correct)

It wasn't until they saw the sales of Toy Story One that they finally saw the light and offered 10 Billion for the company.

I think that the further down the road we go, the higher the price will be. I'm just not sure where the tipping point will be.

I still think it's only a matter of time.
