Either way, I still don't get why Darrell can't do the show??

I'm not being facetious here but basically there are two reasons that Darrell doesn't do the show by himself.

1) He's not qualified. Can barely fill a 15 minute spot without losing listeners.

2) As full house said, more than likely he is doing his own thing that takes up much of his time.
