I think that the reason we don't do as much with solar is the amount of sunshine that we get. Our avg sunshine is 58%. So with 4380 or so hrs. of sunshine per year possible, we only have around 2500 hrs of sunshine. Whereas Yuma Arizona's avg is 90% or 3950 hrs sunshine per year. Hopefully with improved tech. things will change in the future.
