They have made a determination about when they will release their earnings LONG before yesterday.

Are you suggesting they should scrap those plans and release them based on a volume spike?

If so, that is misguided at best.

I would much rather a company I am invested in work on sound fundamentals and not try to game the market.

Have good earnings and the share price will rise and interest will be there.
