The Turion 64 isn't so much an answer to the Centrino solution as it is an answer to Intel's Pentium M processor. Not a completely new architecture, the Turion is basically a rebranded Mobile Athlon 64. Whereas Centrino is actually a three-part all-Intel solution (processor, chipset, and wireless), the Turion name refers strictly to AMD's processor. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1788623,00.asp
