As for the independence issue, I don't think the new regulations present any more difficulty than before. If you'll remember CBIS changed the acquisition of Rockbrook to a manufacture and distribution license last year in order to comply with CO regulations.

See chapter 9 regarding Financial Assistance and Ownership requirements. I have no legal training, so reading documents like that is like reading Plato in the original Greek for me--I can get the general idea but the nuances evade me.

But I don't see how a license agreement would cause any problems under those rules as I read them. All dispensaries are distributors for any number of third-party products. These rules are addressing the issue of ownership and residency. But if anyone disagrees after reading the regs, please speak up.

And CBIS has a good legal team..
