One of the bigger drilling cos., can't recall the ticker, that was bought or merged into RIG, had a division that specialized in taking an equity stake in exploratory wells.

So, if my memory is accurate, it is/was a viable option. Maybe it would be a well specific %, rather than an equity stake in HDY??
