why this deal is also soooooo important
imagine us closing a deal with GOOG .
then we have all their firepower behind us to push for the word registry to become a REALITY faster than sooner .
on the other hand , implementing the word registry aginst GOOG's interest , we will have to fight hard , they will come up with their own search/sms/yellow pages/gps toolbar for mobiles , their reputation of search engine , their name .
i read yesterday someone (sorry , i don't remember who ) saying that you don't merge with your adversary (GOOG) when your business is better than his , i thought that over , it makes good sense , but i am not sure we should fight GOOG , we'd better partner (in a favourable deal of course ).
then we would rule together the world of search/navigation/advertizing , what's left for the others ????
