Troy Damiano, whose name in Latin means fool me twice, has aligned himself with Berks Bail Bonds magnate Vince Smith to continue his illegal enterprises as part of what many Berks Countians consider the last of the mob here. Shame appears to have attached to both of our mob heroes. Troy has once again been busted trying to artfully import heroin from Columbia. How, mail it to me, please. And, when asked who his employer was when he got busted, he said it was bail bondsman Vincent Smith. Smith bankrupted about a half-dozen insurance companies before getting driven out of the bail bond business by the PA State Insurance Department, which revoked his right to write surety policies for bonded defendants. Why would someone like Troy Damiano, a two-time loser soon to be a career criminal associate himself with Smith unless Smith was somehow beholden to Damiano. Inquiring minds want to know
