alexandre: I'm not 100% sure, but I think I recall about a year ago or so reading or hearing that it's pretty much going to be the standard w/ cell phones (gps)...there and unintrusive. I think I remember hearing this because at the time I heard it I was somewhat skeptical of it because I heard they were planning on doing the same thing w/ cars...all in the name of "safety" and I thought to myself, "one more reason NOT to get a new car or a new cell phone".

So, if that's the case (gps in cell phones), then it's should be transparent and able to be activated (NeoMedia's new GPS patent) immediately.

Now though, that I know about other beneficial consumer reasons for the GPS in cell phones rather than simply having 'big brother' keep me safe, I think it won't be too long until I get me one of dem dare new fangled thingies!
