That is very interesting. What is the standard battery specification? What is the battery voltage? Are any other manufacturers making interchangeable batteries? How many battery exchange stations are presently installed?
You see, those are some of the problems with that proposed solution... There are no standard specifications for the various manufacturers to design against. They each have their own "better mouse trap" which presents multiple issues of interchangeability.
Perhaps these won't be issues in Europe, but they will be on this side of the pond...
