Thanks for posting that DD Richard. Good stuff. I agree that this can't be stopped. I would however like to keep track of the lobbyist actions.
What do you think about the potential for revenue from violation tickets? Will that increase for the authorities since a lot of guys can doctor their paper logs mow? OR will the authorities fine revenue go down because everyone will start complying, because of the transparency? Anyone???? You can bet that if they expect revenues to go up from being able to bust these guys. That in itself is a big motivator. Follow the money right?

The ability to track all cargo in the U.S. is great for Homeland security this day and age. By passing a rule they get that ability for FREE courtesy of the trucking industry.
